What's the difference between Discover, Explore, Direct and Wander Together?
Discover, Explore and Direct are for planning your own trip. They differ in how much you already know: Discover asks a few questions and suggests places, Explore lets you browse by region, budget and vibes, and Direct takes you straight to flights and hotels for a place you already have in mind. Wander Together is for groups: everyone picks their own vibes, and WhereTo finds destinations that fit the whole group.
Where does booking actually happen?
This website is informational. Every step of actually planning a trip happens inside the WhereTo app: entering your inputs, getting recommendations, saving, comparing, voting as a group, and booking flights and hotels.
Are the prices I see real?
The costs you see anywhere on the site or in early recommendations are estimates, always labeled as such. Live pricing and availability are confirmed by our booking partners at the time you book.
Do I need an account?
Yes. WhereTo requires a free account so we can save your trips, preferences, and destinations, and so group planning actually works for everyone involved. Registration is designed to be quick.
How does privacy work in Wander Together?
Each person picks their own vibes, and the group sees how many each person saved rather than the list. The trip has one budget, set by the organizer, that everyone can see, so nobody enters a personal budget. Votes show each person's name. Passport and other booking details are only visible to you and whoever pays for you.
Where can I use WhereTo?
WhereTo plans trips that depart from US airports, including US territories such as Puerto Rico. Destinations are worldwide. If your trip starts outside the United States, WhereTo can't plan it yet.
